The Senior Accountant will support the Assistant Controller in safeguarding Company assets by monitoring and implementing internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a mix of technical accounting expertise and executive presence to communicate and collaborate effectively at a high level.

• Financial Close Functions: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close functions, including preparing and entering journal entries and reconciling assigned general ledger accounts of various complexity.


• Accounting and Reporting: Manage the accounting and reporting for all lease agreements, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and other relevant standards. Maintain prepaid account schedules to ensure timely amortization and recognition of expenses in accordance with accounting policies.

• Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Continuously assess and enhance the current lease module for improved efficiency and user experience.


• Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Assist with annual audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.


• Corporate Reporting: Prepare corporate reports as needed for management and regulatory authorities.


• Technical Accounting Research: Provide technical accounting research for critical accounting issues related to GAAP for the consolidated financial statements. Provide recommendations and findings from research to management.


• Coaching and Mentorship: Act as a resource for teammates, providing coaching and guidance to junior team members. Lead projects related to the scope of the role and actively participate in broader scope projects.


• Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with business leaders, serving as a business partner. Enhance cross-functional collaboration by fostering trust, commitment, accountability, and results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.


• 4+ years of related accounting experience.


• Highly proficient in Excel.


• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels and solve complex problems.


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently within established guidelines. Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.


• CPA certification preferred.
