Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refrigeration Supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration technology, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all refrigeration equipment • Supervise and manage a team of refrigeration technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of various refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and Freeze Dryers. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration equipment. • Monitor and analyze refrigeration system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations, including proper handling of refrigerants and adherence to safety protocols. • Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and engineering, to coordinate maintenance and repair activities. • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment histories. • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for repairs and minimizing equipment downtime. • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in refrigeration technology and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements as necessary. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all refrigeration operations.


 


Job Functions

Requirements

Skills and Technical Expertise:


 



  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in refrigeration technology is preferred.

  • Five years of proven experience as a refrigeration technician or supervisor, with a strong knowledge of various refrigeration systems and equipment

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex refrigeration issues

  • Excellent knowledge of refrigeration safety procedures and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of refrigerants

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recording and maintaining maintenance and repair records

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency repairs or maintenance requests as needed


 


 


Physical Requirements


 



  • Exposure to manufacturing environments for periodically extended workdays to include loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditions.

  • Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. 

  • Ability to stand for sit for extended periods of time
