Job Description:

As an Associate Accountant you will have the opportunity to assist the Corporate Accounting group in preparing and maintaining necessary bank reconciliations for Scoular and its subsidiaries, booking journal entries in selected areas, maintain and enhance Scoular’s financial management systems, and perform the accounting for assigned areas in Scoular’s corporate division.  


 


As an Associate Accountant, you will: 



  • Lead the accounting for assigned business areas performing regular journal entries, executing the financial close, and performing necessary reconciliations for those business areas.

  • Perform accounting research on technical accounting items

  • Provide incremental enhancements to Scoular’s financial management systems including being a lead on maintaining Scoular’s master data set-up

  • Serve as a lead on assigned project areas

  • Assist in completing Scoular’s year-end audit test work

  • Use data analytic tools to extract and analyze data to identify trends and potential issues

  • Collaborate with other finance functions to provide value added insight to Scoular’s business
