Job Summary


The Parts/Preventative Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing the parts inventory and coordinating preventative maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment. The role includes maintaining accurate records, optimizing inventory levels, and scheduling maintenance to minimize downtime. Additionally, it requires strong coordination with vendors and suppliers to support plant operations.


Job Functions



  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized and efficient parts inventory system, conduct regular cycle counts, and reorder parts as needed.

  • Preventative Maintenance Coordination: Develop and manage a schedule for routine maintenance tasks and track all maintenance activities.

  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of parts.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to parts inventory and maintenance activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to optimize maintenance operations and reduce costs.

Requirements

Minimum


 



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of experience in parts inventory management, maintenance coordination, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and inventory management software.

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Preferred


 



  • Associate’s degree in a related field.

  • Familiarity with maintenance software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
