Program overview:
At Scoular, we are dedicated to developing young talent to support our customers and partners around the world. Scoular interns gain real-life experiences while learning the ins and outs of our businesses and solutions. During the 11-week program, interns create a true impact on our business by building relationships with customers, immersing themselves in our culture, and working alongside team members. In this role, you will focus on freight analytics, a critical component of our supply chain operations. You will work on identifying cost-saving opportunities by analyzing potential new warehouse locations for one of our large suppliers, exploring intermodal rail options to enhance our transportation strategies, and building a lane database in Excel to support data-driven decisions. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives, such as developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring our operations are efficient and effective.
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a similar field.
- Interested in a career where you can grow a business and collaborate across departments.

What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with Logistics Specialists to optimize transportation strategies.
- Identify new warehouse locations for cost-saving opportunities with large suppliers.
- Explore intermodal rail options to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Build and manage a lane database using Excel, supporting data-driven decisions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Own and manage a project throughout the summer, presenting your findings and recommendations to key leaders.
