Job Description:

The Hedge Desk Assistant will assist with all key functions related to hedge desk operations but is primarily responsible for daily trade and account reconciliation as well as clearing of exchange for physical (EFP) transactions. The Hedge Desk Assistant will assist with trade compliance and adherence to exchange regulations and company policy for all trading activities. Additionally, this role will support all administrative functions of the Hedge Desk.


 



  • Identify, resolve, and communicate all derivative position and equity variances promptly

  • Collaborate with appropriate commercial teams to resolve trade reconciliation issues

  • Enter and clear daily exchange for physicial (EFP) transactions and verify accuracy

  • Validate all transactions comply with exchange rules

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot any variances

  • Maintain Scoular’s trade management system to ensure accurate reflection of all derivative transactions

  • Distribute daily trade recaps to commercial teams

  • Maintain hedge desk vendor invoices, payment requests, and expense allocations



  • High school diploma or GED

  • Good technical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues effectively under pressure

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Exceptional communication skills, able to deliver excellent customer service across different organizational areas
