At Scoular, we are dedicated to developing young talent to support our customers and partners around the world.  Scoular interns gain real life experiences while learning the ins and outs of our businesses and solutions.  During the 11-week program, interns create a true impact on our business by working on projects that are critical to our operations. As an Engineering Intern, you will primarily focus on process improvements within our plants, contributing to optimizing efficiency and productivity. This role offers hands-on experience in problem-solving and implementing technical solutions in a dynamic plant environment, preparing you for a future career in mechanical engineering.


 


Who you are:



  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Junior or Senior standing with strong academic performance.

  • Passionate about process improvement, problem-solving, and technical innovation.

  • Eager to apply your engineering knowledge in a hands-on, facility-based environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a keen interest in learning and professional growth.


What you will do:



  • Collaborate with plant management and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements in manufacturing and operational workflows.

  • Assist in designing, testing, and implementing process enhancements that will improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize plant performance.

  • Analyze data, perform calculations, and use engineering principles to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and present project proposals and progress updates to stakeholders.

  • Gain exposure to various aspects of plant operations, from safety protocols to quality control measures, while applying classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
