Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Research Associate to join our high-throughput Vector Construction group in Johnston, IA. In this lab-based position, you will work as part of a dynamic team to support the creation of high-quality vectors through various cloning pipelines. Desired skills include familiarity and proficiency with routine molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities - What you will do:

* Build and quality control vectors using lab protocols and various molecular techniques (PCR, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, plasmid DNA isolation, bacterial transformation).

* Interact regularly with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and with an assortment of automated equipment such as liquid handlers and robotic freezers.

* Help identify and participate in process development and improvement projects.

* Maintain laboratory and ergonomic safety while working.

QualificationsQualifications - What you will bring:

* Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biological Studies, or related field such as Genetics or Biotechnology.

* Experience working in a lab environment and experience performing routine molecular biology procedures required.

* Molecular cloning/vector construction experience is preferred.

* Experience working with laboratory automation and/or LIMS is a plus.

* Highly self-motivated with vast attention to detail.

* Robust organization, time management, and communication skills.

* Ability to work with a team as well as individually.
