We are hiring a Regulatory Team Leader (RTL) DACH

Purpose:

People and regulatory strategy leader for Corteva DACH country regulatory team. Provide leadership for regulatory projects in existing business portfolio and the development pipeline. Focal representative for Corteva on local regulatory industry bodies and meetings with regulatory agencies.

Build and maintains effective, motivated, and high performing country regulatory team. Recognized internally and externally, by the country / regional regulatory agencies and other stakeholders, as a partner of choice based on credibility, quality on-time dossiers and knowledge base.

The RTL is also accountable to facilitate internal cross-functional engagement to secure the best route to market for the Corteva product portfolio, ensuring that robust regulatory strategies are defined taking into consideration country specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

People leadership expectations

* Lead a team of country regulatory managers and associates responsible for the registration of Corteva products across the range of crop protection, seed applied technology and, biological portfolios.

* Regulatory focal point and advisor for country business management team.

* Work with Commercial Team Leader to develop sustainable regulatory team resourcing plans for the short, medium, and long-term.

* Identify, collate, and implement career development plans for all direct reports. Support an inclusive team working environment.

* Provide mentoring and technical support to country regulatory managers.

* Encourage timely adoption and use of Corteva regulatory processes, databases, and tools.

* Work with country regulatory teams to implement existing best practices and develop new best practices where required.

* Member of the EMEA People Success Team, actively supporting the development of wider EMEA regulatory team.

Techno Regulatory expectations

* Partner with RAS and other internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans to maximise regulatory success within and beyond the region.

* Fully implement pre- and post-mortem working practices and probability of success analysis for DACH key projects / products.

* Establish a good working relationship with country regulatory authorities that is based on trust in our scientific approaches and reliable follow-up in case of questions.

* Work with country and regional advocacy teams to build and implement advocacy strategies.

* Contribute to strategic science advocacy efforts with regulatory agencies or other influencers, decision, or policy makers.

* Facilitate virtual and/or face to face team visits for country regulatory team and as needed with functional leadership, regional regulatory team, and other technical experts.

* Provide insight and input into EMEA regional regulatory policy forum activities (tracking and sharing of local regulatory policy evolution).

* Provide timely country inputs into regional growth investment project concepts and annual regulatory plan of work cycle.

* Conduct business safely and transparently while maintaining Corteva high ethical standards.

Interacts With:

RTLs are the focal point of a country regulatory team, partnering with other country and regional regulatory teams, product development teams, stewardship, government affairs, legal counsel, commercial organizations, science experts, EMEA Regulatory and Science, (RAS), People Success Teams (PST) and RAS Leadership as appropriate.

Preferred location Germany but there is potential for flexibility

* Technical degree with specialization in agriculture, biology, chemistry, or an equivalent discipline; related experience in natural or agricultural sciences is desirable.

* A minimum of 8 years of experience in registration and regulatory affairs of plant protection or biological control products. Regulatory experience in the DACH market is desirable.

* Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) is required.

* Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills for self and team.

* Dedicated team worker with an ability to motivate and engage. Experience in regulatory team leadership is essential. Experience in people leadership is desirable.

* A clear and confident communicator (both written and verbal) able to articulate complex scientific ideas to non-experts and deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
