Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Global Residue Scientist within Regulatory Sciences R&D. The Global Residue Scientist will provide crop and animal Residue Chemistry expertise to global regulatory teams for the development and implementation of regulatory strategy for crop protection active substances and related products. This position is based in North America, but open for other locations globally where Corteva have an office.

Role Summary: Accountable for providing Residue Chemistry expertise to Global Regulatory teams for development and implementation of the regulatory strategy for crop protection active substances and related products. What You'll Do:

* Serves as Technical Expert, and a Subject Matter Expert for active substances and related products within Residue discipline.

* Develops multi-year Residue testing program in alignment with Regulatory requirements across the globe.

* Participates in developing and maintaining global regulatory strategy for active substances for Residue Chemistry.

* Accountable for study design, ensuring that studies meet regulatory guidelines and requirements.

* Determines test and reference substance requirements for conduct of testing program and communicates to stakeholders.

* Interprets study results for MRL/IT assessments, Risk Assessments and higher tier Residue Studies.

* Coordinates Residue Testing program across Study Monitors and Study Directors for successful generation of Residue data and information.

* Critically reviews study protocols, interim results, final reports and study summaries, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines and strategies.

* Ensures Residue strategy is aligned with related technical discipline strategies within technical teams.

* Responsible for dossier preparation for active substance registrations and renewals, formulated product submissions, MRL/IT submissions for Residue discipline.

* Responsible for post dossier submission responses to questions raised by regulators.

* Communicates information to relevant stakeholders, including other project Subject Matter Experts, other technical groups in Regulatory Sciences, functional groups and leaders, and project regulatory leader.

* Develops thorough knowledge and understanding on Residue data generated for previously registered active substances and formulated products, and interprets results and implications for renewal assessments.

* Understands current and future areas of concern, identifies test/data gaps with evolving regulations, and develops strategy for addressing.

* Maintain knowledge of literature and regulatory developments in Residue discipline.

* Leads or contributes to advocacy efforts with regulatory agencies, decision makers and policy influencers.

* Identifies and raises potential adverse effects and progress these in line with company policy and regional or country legal requirements.

QualificationsWhat Skills You Need:

* Bachelors or Masters degree with 2-3 years or more of experience is required. A PhD is preferred.

* Proven familiarity & track record in Crop Protection Residue Chemistry technical area.

* Experienced in Residue Chemistry strategy development and Residue data generation for new active submissions and renewals.

* Experienced in design, conduct, reporting and interpretation of Magnitude of Residue studies in Crops and Animals.

* Ability to independently design experiments, interpret complex technical data, provide recommendations and implications.

* Proven Project leadership skills to coordinate multiple projects.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent Interpersonal skills with ability to influence networks .

* Experience of working in industry associations and interactions with national or international regulatory authorities is desirable.

* Knowledge of dietary exposure assessments and Food Chain is a plus.
