Job Description: DescriptionCome join our team in the role of Data Scientist! Our Global Commodities organization is looking for a highly motivated, result-oriented AI/ML scientist to join the team. Our team pursues agricultural commodity trends in the areas of machine learning (ML) with a particular focus on optimization, planning, recommendation systems, reinforcement learning (RL) and back-end code optimization. This role will be involved in pricing models and must be comfortable working with all the technologies required to take a new feature from idea all the way to production - define, build, test and deploy new functionality for various applications and solutions. This position will work with commodity experts to build scalable pricing, and other related business components models, for different commodity markets that we operate. Candidates will need strong technical skills to work with a diverse set of partners in Operations on the Seed business to help deploy a pricing model in the futures market.

What You'll Do:

* Creates technical documentation

* Develops and executes self-documenting automated unit tests as well as manual exploratory testing efforts

* Participates in the design and development of the API and messaging frameworks with one or more applications.

* Works in compliance with all coding standards, policies, and procedures.

* Adheres to production readiness standards for applications including source control branching/merging, automated test coverage, automated builds, and automated releases

* Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.

* Participate in code reviews for quality assurance.

* Provides ongoing maintenance of applications, may assist in production support.

* Cloud infrastructure and engineering to support the AI/ML implementation.

QualificationsWhat You'll Need:

* MS in Computer Science and/or demonstrated substantial expertise in machine learning and software engineering. (PhD will be considered a plus).

* Practical background building machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI/ML) solutions.

* Expertise in system design, machine learning (ML), full-stack development

* Excellent programming skills in Python.

* Familiar with one or more main-stream machine learning platforms (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)

* Ability to train and debug deep learning systems: Define metrics and datasets, performing error analysis, training models in a modern DL framework

* Experience deploying end-to-end ML models to production

* Experience working in an Agile software development environment

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Ability to effectively communicate technical matters to non-technical team for industry application.

* Ability to effectively build, maintain relationships and work in collaboration with diverse team backgrounds

* Proven skills in communicating both upward and downward in the organization.
