Nutrition Shipping and Receiving Coordinator (Ameri-Pac St. Joseph, MO)

General Purpose and Scope of Position:

Load and unload trucks with pallet jacks and/or forklift. Contact freight lines and arrange daily/weekly shipping schedules. Manage ingredients, finished goods, and morgue warehouse space efficiently. Perform various administrative duties including scheduling and documentation. Follow all quality guidelines including, but not limited to; FEFO, QA hold, lot and location tracking, and inventory management. Participate as a member of the shipping and receiving team. Maintain the integrity of materials and tags in the warehouse and assure the cleanliness of materials stored in the warehouse and racking. Prepare finished goods as needed. Retrieve materials for production needs

 

Key Skills and Abilities include:

  • 1-2 years of shipping and forklift experience
  • Experience in shipping domestic and internationally a bonus
  • Understands the need to develop solutions to meet objectives
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Ability to use computer hardware, software/intranet to generate reports and inventory data. Experience with ERP Systems DEACOM and/or JDE is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with team and external representatives
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in manufacturing environments
  • Ability to implement and adhere to company practices and policies
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift and other equipment as required (pallet jack, scanner gun, stand up lifts)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity must be able to be on your feet for long periods and must be able to work in a production environment
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions and complete necessary documentation. Ability to read and write English is required
  • Willing to work overtime hours as needed

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Perform all inbound/outbound shipments to customers, Ameri-Pac & Ameri-Mills and 3rdparty warehouses
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety Guidelines, Wilbur-Ellis Standard Operating Procedures and Policies, FDA and OSHA guidelines
  • Ensure proper packing and sealing processes for goods
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Participate in all training that is required for the role
  • Assist safety and quality teams when needed to ensure compliance with regulatory rules and regulations
  • Willing to perform all shipping and receiving activities
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $21.44 - $28.63 per hour.  Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
