Nutrition Food Safety, Quality, Regulatory (FSQR) Supervisor (Cincinnati, OH)

General Responsibility:

  • The FSQR Supervisor oversees the implementation and execution of quality and food safety programs within the facility.
  • The FSQR Supervisor supervises on-site FSQR personnel and manages day-to-day food safety & quality at the plant level.
  • The FSQR Supervisor interacts daily with location operations management, including the plant manager and production supervisor, to ensure the integrity of the quality and food safety system.

 

Duties:

  • Responsible for overseeing the verification of Critical Control Points (CCP) and Preventive Controls within the manufacturing process
  • Responsible for overseeing compliance with product food safety and quality processes throughout the manufacturing process
  • Serve as SQF Practitioner for location in conjunction with FSQR auditing personnel.
  • Communicate all information essential to relevant personnel to ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and compliance with the food safety and quality system.
  • Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the food safety and quality system
  • Ensures compliance and educates employees on food safety and third-party certification Standards
  • Coordinates response to 3rd party and customer audit requests
  • Assists with implementation and review of policies, procedures, and programs specific to the site
  • Coordinates with division FSQR on documentation, training, and auditing for the location
  • Contributes to and supports a safe working environment within the facility
  • Communicates product sampling for production release to relevant parties
  • Supervises on-site FSQR personnel and provides direction where required
  • Orders FSQR supplies for the site (mycotoxin kits, swabbing materials, etc.)
  • Responsible for conducting and overseeing a variety of food safety / quality-related tests/analysis

 Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Experience: 3 - 5 Years in a quality-related position
  • Preferred Experience:  Certifications in food safety & quality-related topics (PCQI, SQF Practitioner, HACCP, etc.)

  • Teaching/Training of Others – Clearly explains Quality concepts to Plant Personnel.  Varies presentation style to satisfy diverse learning needs of individuals.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $64,500 - $85,980. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
