General Purpose and Scope of Position:

To carry out all functions associated with operating the Parts Department and Warehouse at New Hamburg, Ontario, in a manner that maximizes profitability.

 

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Class A-Z driver’s license would be an asset
  • Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift certification
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.

 

Key Personal Attributes Include:

  • Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Agricultural background is an asset

 

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Process orders directly from customers and sales personnel for parts and tanks
  • Enter the order in Great Plains (GP) as per procedures
  • Arrange for delivery of product via transport, courier, etc.
  • Pick and prepare orders for shipment
  • Maintain parts information in GP, existing products, new products, etc.
  • Assist with administrative functions in GP as directed by the Parts Manager, i.e., Bill of Materials, Purchase Orders, and request inventory adjustments.
  • Assemble kits, cut hose, and plumb pumps as directed by the Parts Manager
  • Assist with monthly cycle inventory counts and reconcile with the GP system
  • Assist with annual whole inventory counts
  • Housekeeping - maintain a clean and orderly workplace
  • Follow all Health and Safety Policies and attend all relevant training seminars
  • Must have a valid Forklift certificate
  • Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time
  • Assist with snow removal and yard maintenance, including tank yard
  • Conduct monthly workplace inspections of parts warehouse
  • Improve job skills and personnel skills to increase the productivity, quality, and profitability of the company
  • Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time
  • Make deliveries of Parts and Tanks as necessary
