General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The District Sales Manager is responsible for carrying out all sales and marketing activities in a specified geographical territory to maintain, develop, and grow the overall sales volume in that territory in a manner which maximizes profitability.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in crop input and sales agronomy
  • Deep working knowledge of local crops and market practices
  • Provides clear direction and can motivate individuals and teams
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
  • Plan and organize sales activities and customer/prospect contact toward achieving agreed business goals.
  • Plan and develop dealer/distributor network in specified territory according to agreed market development strategy.
  • Motivate dealers and distributors to promote portfolio and sell portfolio of products.
  • Educate growers, dealers, and distributors on new products.
  • Conduct direct visits to dealers and distributors to assist in selling portfolio of products.
  • Conduct direct farm visits to growers in order to promote and sell portfolio of products.
  • Sell and service equipment related to application of products.
  • Install and help to install equipment as related to the application of products.
  • Sell storage tanks as related to storage of fertilizer products.
  • Deliver fertilizer, parts and equipment and storage tanks to dealers and farmers as required.
  • Conduct grower meetings to promote the use of products.
  • Attend farm shows to promote the use of products and services.
  • Locate and develop test plot locations as it relates to research and development program.


Compensation and Benefits:
  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $79,900 to $117,090. CAD. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for commission, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
