General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Agricultural Territory Account Manager Seed Treatment is responsible for managing existing and attracting new Seed Treatment customers within the sales territory, assisting branch customers with proper product selection and use-based agronomic needs, and developing profitable customer relationships.

 

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience in the wholesale and/or retail wholesale agronomy industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture or Business-related field is preferred

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups with an ability to lead and influence
  • Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with field personnel, peers, and customers

 

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Lead the District Sales Team growth of Seed Treatments, Custom Blend Seed Treatments and Biologicals.
  • Identify new potential customers, understand their business, determine their needs, and develop plans and actions for sales territory growth
  • Communicate with management the initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans
  • Responsible for sales territory forecasting and analysis
  • Responsible for following credit policies and managing risk for the company
  • Development of an annual business plan that optimizes growth and profitability for the territory
  • Implement marketing and sales plans; establish and meet sales goals, and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities
  • Build product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibility
  • Become primary contact between your customers and Wilbur-Ellis Company including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, etc.
  • Strictly follow all company policies which include safety & regulatory

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $69,200- $86,280. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
