What your day looks like:

This role requires a strong background in FMCSA and DOT compliance, dedicated to ensuring adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory standards. The incumbent will focus on maintaining compliance and handling administrative tasks related to transportation. This position requires a meticulous and organized approach as well as the ability to manage multiple compliance activities in a dynamic environment.

  • Lead TWG's DOT Committee; coordinate with Transportation Coordinators across the company
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations, including managing Hours of Service logs, Driver Qualification Files, and coordinating compliance-related training.
  • Ensure new hire DOT driver records are complete and compliant
  • Maintain accurate driver safety and accident reporting records
  • Interact with Drivers and Team Members to help maintain inter-departmental communication between drivers and management teams.
  • Assist drivers in scheduling drug testing, renewal of driver's license, and renewal of medical cards.
  • Periodically audit driver paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Address and resolve compliance-related issues as they arise, ensuring they are handled swiftly and in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Produce detailed reports for management that reflect compliance status, audit results, and compliance trend analysis to facilitate decision-making.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Who you are:

  • College degree and/or equivalent work/technical experience
  • Knowledge of or willingness to gain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrated understanding of transportation practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated understanding of Human Resources and Safety as it pertains to DOT
  • At least two years in similar function is desired
