Position Overview

As a Commodity Accounting/Settlement Specialist you will be at the heart of our operations providing essential support to our assigned location. This position is responsible for providing primary support to our Southern Grains Profit Center in the entering of contracts freight rates and other administrative/accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter contracts create contract folders and ensure the accuracy of files and documents for production.
  • Assists with invoicing collections and payments.
  • Manage assigned customer problems with shipments.
  • Reviews receivables and payables needing additional paperwork to complete processing and initiates the follow-up communication.

  • Has developed knowledge and skills through job related training or considerable experience
  • Often entry level for those with work experience in relevant areas
  • Works within established procedure with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations; assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-3 yearsâ relevant experience required
