As we continue to grow and evolve we are seeking a passionate Associate Merchant to join our team at our Denison IA Ethanol Plant location.

As an Associate Merchant you will play a pivotal role in the success of our agricultural trading operations by strategically sourcing negotiating and executing commodity transactions - specifically working with yellow corn and soybean commodities. The ideal candidate will learn agricultural markets trends and risk management and learn how to build and maintain strong relationships with farmers suppliers and other key stakeholders. In this role you will leverage your expertise to identify market opportunities optimize trading strategies and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of our agricultural portfolio.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing support to the Merchandisers and assist with facilitating trading activities and coordinating logistics for the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers
Provide trading and logistics support to Merchandisers and Account Representatives
Perform basic report updates and maintenance

Performs routine entry-level assignments
Knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts gained through education and/or experience
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
Receives instruction guidance and direction

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Bachelorâs Degree required or the equivalent in work experience
1-3 yearsâ relevant experience required
