Position OverviewÂ

This position is a developmental role focused on learning all aspects of theÂAg Supply ChainÂduring four rotationsÂthroughout theÂPlant Nutrient Groupâs core business.ÂThe purpose of this position is to gain the necessary knowledge and experience to understand key components of the Plant Nutrient business providing an opportunity to transition into an entry levelÂsales/commercialÂrole within 8-12 months.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂÂ

  • LearnÂfundamentals of Plant Nutrient business and supply chainÂ
  • Learn key components of building strategicÂrelationships with customersÂ
  • GainÂa working knowledgeÂofÂPlant Nutrient GroupÂoperations including but not limited toÂcommercial product management and sales logistics majorÂP&L components and financial reporting and Farm Center sales and operations.ÂÂ
  • Develop an understanding of pricing and margin throughout the fertilizer supply chain from manufacturer to farmer.Â
  • Learn and begin to apply fertilizer supply and demand fundamentals and understand fundamentals and logistics of global trade.ÂÂ
  • Gain a base of understanding regarding local fertilizer markets end use service and logistics in the Eastern corn belt.ÂÂ

  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorâs Degree required or the equivalent in work experience
  • 1-3 yearsâ relevant experience required
  • Must have a valid Driverâs LicenseÂÂ
  • Must be able to drive for the company according to the Companyâs Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification PolicyÂÂ

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to relocateÂduring and after the rotational programÂÂ
