TASTYFRUTTI INTERNATIONAL, a wholesale produce distributor, continues to experience growth. We are seeking candidates for to lead our Sales Department in the role of Director of Sales. We need an individual with a wholistic background in the produce industry and a strong ability to drive sales.
Job Overview: This position works directly with our Vice President and manages our sales team. In this role, you will be optimizing our current sales strategies and integrating new ideas that align with our company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage a growing sales department (Grapes, Stone Fruit, Citrus)
- Establish strong professional relationships with current customer base
- Target potential customers and increase sales
- Develop and drive sales goals
- Coordinate with operations to ensure excellent customer service
- Analyze market trends and generating sales strategies
- Create profitable B2B sales programs
- Identify and leverage various opportunities for business development
- Communicate effectively with sales team, operations, business office
- Collaborate with marketing department to develop effective promotional materials
- Promote our company at trade shows and major industry-related events
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in relevant role in the produce industry
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Willingness to work in-person and to travel occasionally
- Must be enthusiastic and reliable
