Sanitation/Production Supervisor - Second Shift/Third Shift

Seneca Foods in Clyman, Wisconsin is currently seeking a Sanitation/Production Supervisor to join our team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more! Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

Plans and executes all activities required to adequately clean and sanitize the Clyman facility. Complete daily sanitation requirements in a cost-effective manner which meets or exceeds Good Manufacturing Practices and Employee Safety performance. Ensure that all employees are adequately trained and instructed.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute all activities required to clean and sanitize the facility.
  • Develop and document sanitation programs and processes.
  • Supervise and direct sanitation employees in safe and efficient programs.
  • Work with vendors to determine the most efficient and effective chemical systems.
  • Ensure that all chemicals are used and stored in accordance to policy.
  • Maintain chemical inventories.
  • Ensure all SDS are accurate and available.
  • Direct and supervise the accurate completion of all departmental records.
  • Ensure that all employees are adequately trained to perform the assigned job.
  • Encourage actions to promote teamwork, continuous improvement and focus on Company goals.
  • Assume the second shift Production Supervisor responsibilities when required.
  • Develop and execute daily sanitation/production plan which effectively utilizes all materials and personnel.
  • Coordiante activities between departments to ensure proper receipt and storage of supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible and organized.
  • Basic understanding of measuring tools and equipment.
  • Proficient computer, math, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours.
  • Ability to understand, review and sign off on all process and plant records.
  • Ability to make quick decisions, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other supervisors, lead people and subordinates.
  • Must be familiar with all sanitation chemicals and procedures.
  • Knowledge of raw product preparation, packaging, and thermal processes.
  • Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent.
