We currently have an opportunity for a QA Selector - Grain Grader located in our Winnipeg Richardson Innovation Centre.  You will support Richardson's business units through continuous improvement and sustainability of Corporate Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead corporate grains & oilseeds commodity quality assurance programs to assess annual crop quality
• Analyze results for data trending, verification of compliance with commercial contractual terms and providing consultative support to the business units
• Develop and facilitate grains & oilseeds training modules to educate business unit personnel in the assessment of quality and food safety and food safety attributes
• Establish quality assessment standards, technology & calibration system standards and food safety & defense program standards consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements
• Lead and manage quality/food safety-related incident investigations for root cause and liaising with customers, business units and regulators
• Coordinate and lead food safety/defense audits and with operating business units in attending to corrective actions initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the applicable industry and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Science or a related discipline
• Minimum three years of experience working directly in a quality assurance and food safety role
• Inspector P1 III Certificate (Canadian Grain Commission) or willingness to challenge and successfully pass the examination
• Working knowledge of quality assurance, food safety and food defense systems and practices
• Strong analytical, organizational and investigative skills
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
