Job Description:

Richardson Oilseed Products U.S., a division of Richardson International operates a state-of-the-art oil packaging facility in Memphis, TN where it refines and packages one of the United States’ most recognized brands of canola and vegetable cooking oils, Wesson Oil.

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Support Team Operator at our Memphis, TN facility. The hourly rate for this position is $22.11 per hour.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules
  • Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
  • Always using the required personal protective equipment
  • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
  • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
  • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
  • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
  • Start up, operate, monitor and maintain the operating system for the acid plant and wastewater neutralization plant
  • Set up lines for incoming oil and pump to the appropriate process from storage tanks and to load rail cars and tank wagons
  • Receive and unload crude oil wagons and rail cars
  • Perform daily oil inventory
  • Maintain requirements 5 S in areas of responsibility
  • Measure tanks, calculate amount of oil. Monthly inventories
  • Support utility functions, support house and yard pumping
  • Basic maintenance
  • Complete appropriate documentation in conjunction to job assignment
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Understand instruction and follow direction
  • Work primarily in a warm to hot environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
