Job Posting: Supply Division, Sales Specialist and Department Manager – Lawn and Garden

Job Type: Fulltime

Experience Required: Lawn and garden experience & general farm animal experience.

Salary: Competitive

Reports to: Ag Supply Division Manager

Producers Cooperative Association offers products, programs, and services to its members through its fours operating divisions. Supply, Feed, Agronomy, and Energy.

 

Position Objective: Manage and oversee the lawn and garden department, including all items and programs associated with product lines within the department. Manage and oversee other smaller departments as assigned.

 

Position Responsibilities: Display, manage and market all products (hardgoods and plants) within the lawn and garden department and other smaller assigned departments. Purchase and manage green goods. Work closely with lawn and garden manufacture representatives, distributor representatives and Producers Cooperative’s buying team to keep customers abreast of the latest programs and products in the lawn and garden industry. Strategically price and market products within assigned departments. Analyze product sales data. Maintain oversight of rules and regulations governing products and plants. Supervise and train staff.

 

Position Requirements: A lawn and garden background with an understanding of the ranching and farming industry is needed. High-energy, organized, systematic, results-driven characteristics with proven work history. Proficient computer skills. Ability to analyze sales data. Strong understanding of marketing and selling. Administer and submit product programs, rebate programs, governmental reports, and internal reports quickly and accurately. Desired characteristics are exceptional customer service and problem solving for our members and customers. Must be able to work within a team environment and possess strong communication skills.
 
Other departments smaller departments may be assigned.
