Job Description:

PGS Equipment Ltd. is currently looking to hire a Sales representative for clients in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan. We supply row crop farmers with the equipment and systems to plant, feed, harvest, store and process crops like potatoes, carrots, onions, beans, garlic, and other specialty crops. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering an exceptional customer service experience
  • Sales and margin goals are set and met working with general manager
  • Answering phone inquiries related to the machinery and systems we offer
  • Advising customers on additional options or parts that may be beneficial their operation
  • Gather and advice on information via sales meetings
  • Attending shows, demonstrations, and other events to share our portfolio
  • Need to be able to communicate with customers as well as suppliers via phone and email
  • Maintaining leads, as well as future trends and developments of the market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and deliver personalized attention to each, providing the best in quality service and value
  • Assist with other duties as required

 

Requirements:

  • Must be dependable and self-motivated team player with the ability to communicate effectively, negotiating and conflict resolution.
  • Parts and machinery knowledge, preferably row crop
  • 2+ years' experience in agriculture dealership in technical, parts or sales department
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset
  • Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Work both as a member of a team and individually with minimal supervision
  • Always maintain proper and safe working conditions
  • Effectively work in a fast-paced environment, able to work well under pressure and shifting priorities
  • Ability to plan and organize is a must with open communication with management
  • Strong computer and technology skills is a must
  • Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract as well as forklift certificate
