We are seeking a detail-oriented and determined Technical Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring our company’s regulatory compliance, and to the ongoing maintenance and development of all technical documentation. This role provides the opportunity to make an impact in all departments of an internationally recognized company.
Position Overview:
The Technical Coordinator will ensure compliance with all local and international legislation with respect to fertilizers, manufacturing, importation and selling.
This position will require a solid understanding of our product line and manufacturing practices while keeping up to date with evolving regulatory legislation and guidelines. The ideal candidate is a young professional that is a creative thinker, thorough researcher, has a knack for details, and has excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Research: Researching, understanding and summarizing most recent regulatory text and how it is related to our operations, while staying aware of ongoing changes to regulatory requirements.
- Registrations and Inspections: Maintain ongoing registrations and ensure completion of new regulatory compliance projects, along with planning and overseeing regulatory inspections in coordination with government inspectors.
- Internal Audits: Conducting internal reviews of processes and practices related to regulatory compliance and identifying gaps and areas of improvement.
- Document Preparation and Organization: Ensuring the ERP (Visual Manufacturing/SAP) and database systems are up to date with all relevant product registration numbers and key dates, and that registration related documentation is maintained and organized.
- External Relations Management: Represent MPPI and its interests within the industry by interacting with key vendors and extension/research community, and with government bodies by participating in all relevant meetings and forums.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, research and report development, crop protection and/or nutrition an asset
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, SAP/ERP, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
