We are a leading company in the mineral based water-soluble fertilizer industry, committed to delivering high-quality products to our clients. We are seeking a diligent and organized Quality Control (QC) Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining our quality standards by ensuring all raw materials, formulations, and finished products meet our rigorous specifications.
Position Overview:
The QC Specialist will oversee quality control processes, including the organization and management of retained samples, Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for raw materials, and finished product evaluations. This position will require attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments while prioritizing health and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Management: Organize and retain samples, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and traceability.
- COA Management: Manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for raw materials and create COAs for finished products.
- Product Sampling: Perform random sampling of both finished products and raw materials to verify quality and specifications.
- Formulation Testing: Participate in testing of new formulations, recording and analyzing data to ensure product quality.
- External Testing Coordination: Arrange for samples to be sent to external laboratories, tracking results, and reporting on compliance.
- Production Monitoring: Inspect production processes to verify compliance with established specifications, addressing any deviations or non-conformities.
- Lab Resource Monitoring: Oversee all laboratory equipment and supplies, communicating with Purchasing when items or services are needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in a chemical and manufacturing environment, with hands-on bench work experience
- Familiarity with GLP quality system, OOS and COA procedures, sample retention, and laboratory practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality standards, scientific method and health and safety.
