Come join the leading sugarbeet seed brand for growers in North America!  We are looking for a knowledgeable Sales Manager to join our team in the Michigan region. This position is directly responsible for all sales and promotional activities for Betaseed in the Michigan market.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage and support the Independent Sales Agent network throughout the region in the promotion of Betaseed varieties.
• Direct local sales and sales promotion activities.
• Develop both annual and long-term budgets and sales forecasts.
• Maintain timely and effective communication within the assigned sales region.
• Serve as main contact for agricultural staff, university research departments, grower organizations of the regional sugar industry.
• Other duties as assigned by the business.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Biology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the sugar beet industry including seed and crop production and allied support industries in crop protection, farm equipment, and research.
• 5+ years sales leadership experience in seed industry or management experience in the agricultural industry.
• Demonstrated ability to increase market share while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Ability to coach, inspire and develop Independent Sales Agents.
• Strong interpersonal communication, presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
• Expertise in team building and staff development.
• Results-oriented approach to meeting annual sales goals.
• Overnight travel required (local, national and international).
• Ablility to travel internationaly at times (Ontario, CA and Europe)
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Products.
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
