Job Description:

The Marketing Communications Specialist works closely with the Senior Shows and Visual Brand Specialist to support all KNA shows and events and the Human Resources team to support employee communications.  The individual also coordinates lead management for shows and other CRM efforts and develops content for a variety of communication activities to promote the KNA message to employees and customers.

 

  • Support planning and coordination for Kuhn North America national shows such as National Farm Machinery Show, Farm Progress Show, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, World Dairy Expo, and others as directed.
    • Work with Sr. Shows and Visual Brand Specialist to administer show contracts, booth décor/service orders, and lodging agreements.
    • Track equipment needs per show and coordinate with Field Sales to ensure logistics are arranged for on time delivery.
    • Attend shows as needed to help coordinate on site and support booth staff.
  • Work with Sr. Shows and Visual Brand Specialist to support regional shows that are managed by Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) or Territory Managers (TMs).
  • Coordinate distribution of display/signage assets to support national and regional shows.
  • Manage leads generated through customer direct marketing efforts, including shows, emails, web forms, etc., using Dynamics lead management capabilities and KUHN Group developed systems. Convert leads to opportunities for Field Sales team based on established KNA criteria.
  • Plan, prepare and distribute “Perspectives” (employee newsletter) via Intranet and hard copy on a biweekly basis. Edit story copy submitted by various employees and other contributors and interview participants and write stories when prepared copy is not available. Photograph people and events to enhance newsletter stories.
  • Work with Human Resources staff to plan, prepare, and update “Kuhn TV” (employee communications) that runs daily at all KNA locations. Edit information submitted by various employees and other contributors. Maintain file system where all content is launched to Kuhn TV locations. Coordinate with IT to solve technical issues.
  • Participate as an active member of the KNA Wellness Works team, as the representative from Marketing Communications. Be a major contributing member with graphics, design, and content to support the team for campaigns, calendars, stall tactics, etc.
  • Design/create employee communications (ie: information board postings, event invitations/postings, certificates, photos, etc.) in accordance with an established timeframe or as requested by Human Resources.
  • Work with Digital Communications Specialist to support content creation for KNA social media channels and dealer social media programs.
  • Collaborate with Digital Communications Specialist to brainstorm new ideas for social media promotion to continually refresh content and engage with customers online.
  • Coordinate with Digital Communications Specialists and other Marketing Communications staff to identify opportunities and generate enhanced customer storytelling content. This could include shortform, longform, and video testimonials, as well as other unique content ideas.
  • Work with the Marketing Communications team to implement customer story content across various print and digital media platforms.
  • Operate Adobe Photoshop software to prepare photos or illustrations for Corporate communications (ie: Perspectives, PowerPoint presentations, employee communications, etc.).

 

Education and/or Experience

  • A bachelor’s or associate degree in communications or agricultural/life sciences communications and a strong background/knowledge of the agricultural industry are preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite programs, Photoshop and InDesign is preferred.
