The Export Sales Support Specialist is responsible for all export sales support administrative activities conducted outside of US & Canada to support sales growth for products manufactured by Kuhn in North America.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Export Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Company's export sales goals for products manufactured in North America by working with the Sr. Sales Planning Specialists and Kuhn Group Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to best support our export partner needs. This position is the key contact between the Sales Support Specialists, Logistics Manager, and our export partners.
- Serve as the liaison between the Sales Support Specialists, Sr. Sales Planning Specialists, and export partners for export order management and logistics planning.
- Ensure that the Sr. Sales Support Specialists and designated sales representatives are supported, so that we can effectively price, order, plan, and ship products to our export partners.
- Facilitate all verbal, written and video conference communication and other supporting activities relating to export sales support administrative activities in collaboration with the Sr. Sales Planning Specialists.
- Assist with whole goods and parts shipments, in collaboration with manufacturing, Sales Support, Logistics, and parts personnel and our export partners.
- Prepare proforma invoices, as required, for all incoming product inquiries requesting quotations and reviews with the Sr. Sales Planning Specialists and forward them to export customers, as directed.
- Follow up on all communication inquiries that come through the "Export Sales" mailbox daily.
- Assist in communicating Company information about pricing, programs, terms, policies, products, scheduling, and other vital information to better serve our export partners.
- Support all (Export & Domestic) forecasting & demand planning activities to best support export & domestic sales by running & filing monthly forecasting, supply planning, and sales statistics reports.
- Assist the Sr. Sales Planning Specialists with any market research activity to better understand market potential, so an annual forecast can be developed based on research, market trends, and sales history for production estimates to better support short and long-range strategies.
- Facilitate the critical twelve-month rolling forecasting activities which help drive the production schedule; including monthly communication with our export partners through e-mail, phone, or video conference to best understand market conditions that will affect product order expectations and shipment planning to meet retail customer demand on a yearly rolling basis.
- Work in collaboration with the Sr. Sales Planning Specialists to request orders based on the forecast or change the forecast if orders are not placed as originally planned, to ensure forecast accuracy.
- Work in collaboration with the Sales Support Specialists to ensure that there are planned production slots to receive the export orders when they are placed by our export partners.
- Serve as a back-up support person to the Sales Support Assistant for all administrative duties within the department including forecasting, order management, supply planning and machine invoicing to better support domestic & export sales.
- Lead all other projects that are assigned related to export sales & sales support administration activities to better support the Sr. Sales Support Specialists and Sales Support department.
Education and/or Experience - A bachelor's degree in ag business, business or international sales and/or a minimum of 3 years international sales support experience is preferred. Knowledge of farming/agriculture industry and experience selling heavy industrial or agricultural equipment is preferred. Knowledge of business management techniques and communications software (ex. Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is preferred.
