QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-10+ Years Turf Farm Management or Assistant Management experience
- Good management skills
- Good equipment operator
- Ability to lead team, plan for the big picture, schedule and execute
- Good Communicator with both co-workers and customer relations in both wholesale and retail markets as well as those in the community
- Perform or supervise the record keeping of HR issues such as payroll, performance reviews, and hiring and terminations of employees
- Experience with preventative maintenance to equipment and in addition to training in SOP practices with Safety as a priority, oversee and help coordinate safety programs within the division
- Good attitude and dependable in working in a trustworthy environment to get things completed in a timely matter

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-Placement is searching for a Sod Farm Division Manager for this coastal sod farm of the Pacific Northwest. Person needs good experience operating and maintaining equipment. Need someone who knows how to manage 10+ employees and provide communication back to main office. Really prefer this person have e+ years of experience managing a turf farm, though not required. Being from an agricultural family would be a plus. Basic understanding of turf grasses needed and desire to learn more. Able to complete strenuous tasks on a daily basis for long hours on end. Willing to do weekend work when necessary. Self-motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision. Good problem-solving skills and the know-how to find solutions when the need arises. Handle multiple demands. Flexible and able to adapt to last minute changes.
