QUALIFICATIONS:

- Really prefer candidate who's been in a lead position in feedlot or one who is very much a self-starter
- Prefer 2-3 years of experience working with cattle/feedlot cattle
- Prefer good animal health skills; spot, diagnose, treat/doctor
- Feed, pen maintenance, facility upkeep
- Assist in custom chopping with area farmers
- Person who is willing to jump in where and when needed
- Hard working, dependable, able to work unsupervised

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri Placement is searching for a good Feedyard Manager for absentee owner who will be responsible for day-to-day feedlot operations for this Illinois cattle producer. Yard is off by itself, and owner would like to find person who can operate and run this location without supervision. Need to have good Animal Health skills; spotting, diagnosing and treating cattle. The person will assist in feeding, pen maintenance, all aspects of this yard. Will assist owner in custom chopping in the area. Need good experience operating equipment and to handle routine maintenance and general repairs. Person needs to have a good attitude and be a good communicator. Will need to have some prior experience in leadership and help making a schedule with owner for day-to-day operations. Communicate with owner on daily basis. Nice feedlot and facilities and in a good location for family and schools, which makes this a good opportunity for a long-term placement.
