- Crop Insurance License
- Experience in crop insurance
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to learn database and accounting software

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Ag Business in search for a Crop Sales Agent. The primary responsibility of the position is to seek our new prospective clients, build relationships with prospective clients. You need the ability to call and set appointments, communicate our advantages, and ask for the business. This individual must have the drive to obtain new clients and to grow the business. While performing these assigned duties, this position is responsible for ensuring accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency with all policies and tasks. You need to have attention to detail and the ability to relate to farmers and their business This position must maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, business operations, finances, and all other proprietary areas. You will educate growers how they can better manage and grow their farm using our unique management tools and share with clients a peace of mind knowing we deliver the most accurate and precise claims service.

Responsibilities:

- Seek and contact prospective crop clients.
- Determining clients' insurance needs by scheduling appointments; analyzing extent of present coverage and recommending new and/or more comprehensive coverage options.
- Being able to explain how Crop Insurance policies work
- Being able to run our proprietary software
- Ensure clients receive superior customer service
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
- Build effective relationships with co-workers, supervisors, AIP’s, and clients.
- Organize workflow, paperwork, projects, and record keeping.
- Train new sales agents.
