About the role:

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:

• Participating in Forecast/Budgeting/Estimate processes.
• Participating in fiscal reporting.
• Being responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the internal data (including various reconciliations between data sources). Liaising with IT teams to ensure maintenance and development of internal systems and tools.
• Collecting primary as well as secondary market intelligence data and producing analyses.
• Understanding site operations such as production, loading of product, storage and safety

As the successful candidate you will have experience in, and demonstrate the following:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent with excellent academic record.
• Strong analysis/planning skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and good work organizational skills.
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial, willing to learn.
• Strong interest in international commodity markets.

Additional information:

• This is a paid internship – $23/hour
• In person office attendance is required in accordance with Glencore’s US policy (currently Monday – Thursday)
• Office is located at 330 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10017 [or other Glencore Ltd location]
• Intern will be responsible for transport costs to/from the Glencore office.
