About Little Red Door Cancer Agency

Fighting cancer is tough enough, but it’s even harder when you don’t have medical insurance or the resources to afford proper care. Since 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency has been striving to make the most of life and the least of cancer by reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of cancer for the medically underserved residents of central Indiana. Little Red Door supports both adult clients and youth clients, including Camp Little Red Door.

 

Position Summary

Little Red Door seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in event logistics, research and donor stewardship. At our agency, our goal is to make the most of life and the least of cancer. You will earn experience in the many different aspects of a nonprofit organization while having a real effect on the lives of our local cancer patients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned to meet needs):

  • · Provide LRD Signature event support for the Development Team
  • · Represent LRD at community events and volunteer engagements
  • · Research potential funders, specifically foundations, corporations and individuals
  • · Assist in the creation and implementation of donor stewardship and cultivation projects
  • · Provide social media content for the Marketing Manager and Marketing Intern
  • · Clean data and pull development reports for the Database Manager and Database Intern

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • · Complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
  • · Excellent organizational, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • · Ability to work well and collaboratively with a team.
  • · Ability to passionately embrace the mission of Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
  • · Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and mail merges.
  • · Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software a plus.

 

Education

  • · Working toward a college degree in a related field (Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Communications, Marketing).

Start Date Summer 2024 for 10 weeks

Hours 16-24 hours a week; negotiable

Compensation $1,000 stipend
