Through the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist our members with their banking needs.

• Career exploration opportunity with a department or position that is aligned with your major/interests (i.e. Commercial and Agricultural Lending, Mortgage Lending, Financial Advising, Credit Analysis, Operations, Accounting, etc.).

• Attend networking events with other interns.

• Work on projects as assigned.  

What will you learn from this experience? 

• You will learn the Magnifi Financial member service standards and gain experience working with members in a professional environment in person and on the phone.

• You will gain experience processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

• You will learn the ins and outs of Magnifi Financial’s financial products and gain experience working with financial institution products and procedures.

• You will gain experience maintaining a cash drawer.

• You will learn about the Magnifi Financial sales process and gain experience selling and recommending products and services and making referrals to other departments.

• You will learn about deposit accounts as well as deposit compliance and industry regulations, including but not limited to BSA, Reg D, Reg CC, etc. and gain experience applying these regulations.

Internship Qualification Requirements: 

• Educational requirements: Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree with an interest in finance as a career.

• Positive attitude

• Communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to positively reflect Magnifi Financial’s image in the community and the marketplace.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities with minimal direction.

Schedule:

• Summer 2024 (May – August). End date to be determined upon offer.

• 40 hours per week. Typically between 8 am and 5 pm; Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends – Fridays until 6 pm and Saturdays 8 am to noon.
