Job Description:

Prairie Co-op is hiring a Permanent Full Time Ag Procurement Manager at our Ag Site in Melville, SK.

What you’ll do:

Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service, maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.

  • Provides leadership, direction and oversight to Agro Division operations, programs, and policies in Melville, Lipton and Ituna to meet budgeted goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the Prairie Coop’s objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead sourcing efforts to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality and cost effectiveness criteria.
  • Administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
  • Oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved.
  • Provide leadership to the Melville, Lipton and Ituna Ag Sales Representatives, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members.
