Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :

$103,331 - $139,803

FCC has lending, products and services to help Indigenous entrepreneurs, economic development corporations and government entities fully realize their goals.

As Manager of Indigenous Relations, you’ll lead in supporting and executing FCC’s Indigenous Relations strategy, reconciliation action plan, external engagement plan, community investment, and sponsorships to advance Indigenous agriculture and food across Canada.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Build key relationships to advance FCC’s strategic objectives and support the refreshing and implementing of our Indigenous Relations strategy
  • Develop strategic partnerships to help FCC advance the emerging Indigenous economy and increase Indigenous farmers’ participation in establishing businesses and growing within the Canadian food value chain
  • Integrate Indigenous perspectives and social impact into a unified strategy through research, writing and analysis

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, business or commerce and at least six years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Significant experience working with Indigenous government, businesses and communities
  • Intuitive understanding of political factors, key issues, risks, and opportunities in the agriculture industry and Indigenous reconciliation landscape
  • Strong background working with or for Indigenous social and economic development priorities
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous experiences, Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and other related legislative and international instruments such as UNDRIP
  • A love for agriculture and advancing Indigenous food security and financial sovereignty
