About the role

We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join the Camperdown team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Elders Livestock/Territory Sales Managers provide clients with expert livestock sales support and insights. Working both in-branch and travelling the countryside, our Territory Sales Manager will assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients. This opportunity will seek an experienced Sales Manager looking for their next challenge in a branch with unlimited potential or someone who is looking to take their next step in their livestock career.

Located in Southwest Victoria, only 2 hours from Melbourne & central to regional cities of Geelong, Warrnambool, Ballarat & just north of the Great Ocean Road.

A vibrant town offering a range of services, schools & sporting teams for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in a great community.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:
  • Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
  • Identifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunities
  • Developing and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors
  • Providing professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business
  • Employing tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together
  • Maximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events


About you

  • Have a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handling
  • Are driven by sales and success
  • Aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new business
  • Have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
  • Have either a Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation, or the willingness to become licensed after undertaking training offered, free-of-charge, by Elders.
