About the role
We are looking for a Draftsperson to join the Sunfam team on a permanent, full time basis.

As a Draftsman at Sunfam, you will make detailed technical drawings, or plans, for irrigation equipment & associated infrastructure. You will also develop/convert manual drawings, designs, plans, and layouts from our pump & irrigation designers into a set of technical drawings using state of the art software that can be used by our fabrication & installation staff.

Responsibilities
As a Draftsperson you will:

Coordinate detailed technical drawings, or plans, for irrigation equipment & associated infrastructure
Convert the manual sketches, designs, plans, and layouts into a set of technical drawings that can be used by our fabrication & installation staff
Use SolidWorks software suits to generate technical drawings suitable for use in Fabrication & Installation of Irrigation & associated equipment provided by the company.
Provide drawings when required to be used for inclusion in quotations or other presentations to our customers, suppliers, & staff.
Maintain strong Stakeholder relationships via regular engagement of all parties
Maintain a library of any designs/drawings in a user-friendly format on the company's computer server that can be referenced by our staff.

About you

Previous experience in the use of SolidWorks preferred, or other design methods to generate technical drawings suitable for use in Fabrication & Installation of Irrigation & associated equipment
Previous experience with working with irrigation, pump stations and general Water projects in Agricultural, Civil applications or mining.
Strong focus on Installation planning, strategic thinking, innovative, analytical and communications skills.
Excellent communication skills and have a creative mind
Understand Installation plans/maps/drawings associated with the job site.
Able to thrive in a collaborative working environment
