About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Retail & Marketing, as our Branch Manager, you will be entrusted to manage all aspects of branch operations and lead your team to achieve growth and exceed earning targets. Your expert team management skills will allow you to support sales staff and empower them to grow and drive sales performance.

This full-time, permanent position would suit a dynamic and inclusive leader that values innovation, adding value to clients, business and developing their team.

Responsibilities
  • Identify new growth opportunities and build + develop strong relationships with customers and industry partners
  • Implementing and driving key sales campaigns + activities
  • Cultivating new sales opportunities to grow & strengthen Violet Town Ag, Horse & Pet's position in the local market
  • Prioritising the safety of your staff and clients, and actively contributing to safety focused culture of the business.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff in identifying and developing new sales opportunities
  • Inventory management and process improvement
  • On farm and client visits to develop understanding of enterprise and look for opportunity


About you
  • Have a proven track record in sales management with an understanding of surrounding agricultural & market.
  • Are comfortable and thrive in a collaborative and agile working environment
  • Are resourceful, forward thinking and passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community
  • Understand that people are our most important asset
  • Have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with clients
  • Although a tertiary qualification is not essential, sound financial knowledge and strong business acumen is required
  • Ideally have previous management experience in a retail environment
  • Comfortable upskilling and coaching others
  • Ideally have retail experience in the ag or pet + produce sector
  • Team player with great communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's licence
