Layer Barn Manager

We are a family-owned farm, looking for a manager for our chicken layer barn. We are looking for someone that will learn and be able to do everything needed in the barn. 

Schedule:

The day begins at 7:30am.

We are looking for someone that will work 5 days a week on average, including every other weekend. A schedule like 9 days on 5 days off would be considered also.

Duties include:

• Running egg packer
• Stacking egg trays onto pallet
• Moving pallets with a pallet jack and then cleaning the packing room
• Overseeing the birds and barn
• Picking up mislaid eggs
• Taking out cull birds
• Running manure belts/barn cleaners
• Using a skid steer to move manure in the storage area
• Barn/equipment maintenance as needed
• Use a pallet jack to load pallets onto the semi-trailers

Benefits:

• Pay will depend on experience, and a pay increase when able to work without owner overseeing work done.
• Additional benefits can be discussed after probationary period.

Additional info: We do not have housing available, ability to speak and understand English is necessary.
