Our client, a fully integrated Ag solutions company serving Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec growers, is looking for a Crop Inputs Sales Manager. This position will be based out of their northeast Ontario location.
In this position you will be the primary contact for farmers and growers, and sell Crop Inputs- primarily grain, forage & oilseeds- throughout Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert advice and strategic agricultural insight to develop ongoing profitable relationships with producers throughout Ontario.
- Sell Crop Inputs- primarily grain, forage & oilseeds
- Develop a comprehensive understanding and business plan with all customers.
- Create and maintain a rigorous weekly call plan designed to meet sales objectives and customer interaction frequency targets.
- Achieve sales targets of all product lines through active account maintenance.
- Promote high-level customer satisfaction and develop relationships through trust, service, and integrity.
- Manage and track inventory and bookings, complete invoices.
- Provide on- farm support and delivery of products.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- B.Sc minimum in Agronomy or similar experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a sales agronomist in Canada
- A working knowledge of crop inputs; grain, oil & forage seed
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal/communication and time management skills.
- Have a strong understanding of an effective integrated pest management
- Ability to analyze soil samples and provide fertility recommendations.
- CCA or P.AG. Accreditation and management experience would be an asset, but is not required.
- Bilingual (English and French) would be an asset, but is not required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel 25% of the time.
