Our client, a provider of solutions and products in the Dairy Industry, is looking for a Technical Specialist. The Technical Specialist will be a remote position, supporting colleagues in training and troubleshooting and supporting the dealer network across Canada.
The Technical Specialist will work from home, but will also be traveling to support dealers and colleagues in product support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Log and respond to calls and tickets via the phone line and ticketing system
- Support dealer technicians with latest up-to-date technical information
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Create technical troubleshooting documentation and solutions
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Assist colleagues in updating training information as needed
- Assist dealerships on installations of new products, start-up, and/or product testing as needed
- Other duties assigned by the Technical Support Manager
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Technical writing skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and vacuum systems
- Knowledge of dairy industry
- Computer skills:
- Advanced Windows user
- Linux experience is a plus
- Network design and/or troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Experience working with SQL Server is a plus
- Ability to speak French is a must
- Travel may be required within Canada but most of it will be in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes
