Corteva Agriscience is looking for an innovative, energetic, and transformational US Industry Affairs Policy Lead - National Grower Organizations.

The US Industry Affairs Policy Lead will focus on national grower organizations, and related agriculture advocacy bodies in Washington, DC. This role develops and maintains high-impact partnerships with key commodity organizations. This is a vital role in advancing Corteva's interests in farm commodity sectors by building policy coalitions, driving aligned industry initiatives, and advocating for policies that support growth, innovation, and sustainability in agriculture. This role will also be active in Hill and Administration advocacy efforts.

Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow!

Relationship Management and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serves as Corteva's lead representative for policy engagement with national grower organizations. 

Industry and Policy Advocacy

  • Represents Corteva in advocacy efforts addressing policy and regulatory issues affecting national grower organizations.
  • Engages with industry and government partners to promote Corteva's priorities on trade, environmental sustainability, agricultural innovation for seeds, crop protection, and farm policy.

Program and Project Leadership

  • Leads cross-functional collaborations to align Corteva's policy strategies with the needs of national grower organizations, ensuring consistent, high-quality engagement with associations and grower groups.
  • Oversees projects and initiatives to enhance Corteva's visibility and leadership in joint industry policy campaigns for the national grower organizations.
  • Leads and supports ad-hoc government affairs projects and initiatives.

Joint Policy Development

  • Identifies and advances opportunities for Corteva by aligning with industry needs and market developments.
  • Provides insights on emerging trends and advocates for initiatives that drive sector growth, particularly in areas like sustainability, export market access, and advanced crop technology.

Experience and Education - What you'll bring to the table!

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Public Policy, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in agriculture, government affairs, industry relations, or a related field. Experience with commodities or grower organizations preferred. 

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of agriculture, including trade associations, grower organizations, and the regulatory landscape.
  • Proven ability to manage key relationships, collaborate with stakeholders, navigate complex industry issues, and drive coalition-building.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and consult with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach to achieving advocacy and industry goals.
  • Ability to navigate challenging opportunities to meet objectives and deadlines; solves complex problems with minimal guidance.

The salary range for this position is $142,000.00 to $220,000.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
