The Georgetown R&D center is the global technology hub for Corteva's canola breeding programs with on-site field, greenhouse and lab activities supporting the development of industry leading seed products for various markets.
We are currently seeking a Technician to execute Trait Integration projects.

What You'll Do:
Managing day to day activities for greenhouse projects from planting, tissue sampling, crossing to harvesting
Working effectively with database software to manage projects
Coordinate and manage seasonal workforce to ensure all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all personnel are properly trained on procedures.
Participate in the improvement of safety programs and protocols (safety, efficiency, effectiveness) specific to direct work environment to identify and communicate potential risks and benefits.
Complete personal development activities as part of a performance management and development plan
Being an active team member within the R&D center to help with additional field and greenhouse operations as needed.
What Skills You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Plant Science, Agriculture, or a related field with relevant experience
Good attention to detail and highly organized
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong aptitude for learning computer software
Skilled at horticultural experiment execution
Ability to work in greenhouse and field environment (temperatures above 30oC)
