The Georgetown R&D center is the global technology hub for Corteva s canola breeding programs with on-site field, greenhouse and lab activities supporting the development of industry leading seed products for various markets. This position will be focused on executing greenhouse experiments with molecular marker selection.

What You'll Do:
Managing day to day activities for greenhouse projects from planting, sampling, crossing to harvesting
Interpreting molecular marker data
Working effectively with database software to manage projects
Coordinate and manage seasonal workforce to ensure all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all personnel are properly trained on procedures.
Participate in the improvement of safety programs and protocols (safety, efficiency, effectiveness) specific to direct work environment to identify and communicate potential risks and benefits.
Complete personal development activities as part of a performance management and development plan
Being an active team member within the R&D center to help with other field and greenhouse operations as needed.
What Skills You Need:
University degree or higher
Strong understanding in interpreting molecular marker data
Good attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Quick to learn computer and iPad programs
Ability to work in greenhouse and field environment (temperatures above 30oC)
