The Trait Integration and Population Development Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Global Population Development (GPD) team by managing and executing research projects focused on the integration of genetic traits into key crops such as corn, soy, sorghum, and cotton. This position is essential for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of project objectives, while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Project Coordination and Management:

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.

    • Develop detailed project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget.

    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

    • Adjust project plans and resources in response to changing priorities or unforeseen challenges.

  • Data Management and Analysis:

    • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data related to trait integration and population development.

    • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize project outcomes.

    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Serve as a liaison between research teams, operations, and external partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

    • Maintain clear and consistent documentation of project activities, protocols, and results.

    • Communicate project status, challenges, and achievements to management and relevant stakeholders.

  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all research activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and respect within the team and across the department.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.

    • Support team development through mentorship and knowledge sharing.

What Skills You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree scientific discipline (e.g., Agronomy, Biology, Genetics, or related field) required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the agricultural industry or in data analytics.

  • Proven ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with data collection, management, and analysis.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
