We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Corteva Agriscience's rapidly growing business in Seed Applied Technologies as a Technical Service Consultant

This position is part of the Seed Applied Technologies Center (CSAT), a close-knit team that manages all innovations in the seed treatment portfolio for Corteva and external seed companies.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about all seed treatment innovations relating to products, adjacent technologies, and quality assessment parameters. They will be at the heart of seed treatment recipe solutions and their applications offered to our internal and external customers at the European level.

This role involves collaborating with the entire SAT team, which is made up of experts and leaders in various fields such as industrial applications, research, and regulatory affairs.

1 - Job Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Implement the new seed treatment recipes at an industrial scale in Seeds Co for hybrid crops and supporting downstream marketing in alignment with the Seed Applied Technologies strategy
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in seed treatment, including technologies for product application and quality control.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and manufacturers to develop innovative technologies that meet SAT needs.
  • Improve the quality and performance of Industrial Seed Treatment (IST) processes, providing solutions to operational challenges.
  • Lead the dissemination of Industrial seed treatment benefits and generate support for demand through field days and industry events.
  • Create and promote best practices for seed treatment applications at External seeds production plants and supporting downstream marketing.
  • Travel to production facilities to assess processes, identify challenges, and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to ensure high-quality seed treatment applications at production sites.
  • Maintain strong relationships with seed treatment equipment providers and consult with GSO and SPSC engineering teams on equipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with seed production and supply chain to develop Quality Management System (QMS) materials and document recipes for new treatment combinations.
  • Provide leadership in product stewardship, ensuring accurate and compliant treatment applications.
  • Offer technical training and updates to internal teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D, Technical Support) and external stakeholders.

2 - Critical Training, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences

  • Education:
    Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master of Science in a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Strong technical knowledge in seeds, seed treatment technologies, and machinery/equipment engineering. Proven experience in seed treatment applications and equipment representation, with at least five years in the field.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
    • Strong decision-making, negotiation, and customer focus.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead change and gain support without formal authority.
    • Ability to interact and collaborate across internal and external teams, including Marketing, Sales, Research, Technical Services, Production, and Seed Production.
    • Proactive mindset with strong teamwork, planning, organization, flexibility, and analytical skills.
    • Experience in data analysis and interpretation, applying scientific principles to drive best practices.
    • Skilled in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
    • Capable of team-based decision-making and developing innovative, creative solutions.
  • Operational Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license required; ability to obtain a commercial pesticide application license.
    • Physical mobility to service seed treatment equipment.
    • Willingness and availability to travel approximately 40 overnights per year.

3 - Languages

  • Fluent English.
  • Fluent French.
  • Other languages are an asset
